Is it a landscape. Or a still life. Maybe an abstract?

A Georgia O'Keefe painting of a thin little stream coming out of a desert mesa. I could stare at it for hours, but I don't have the time. It reminds me of New Mexico, the land of my dreams.

I have four paintings all of equal importance. All hand done one of a kind landscapes.

Two of them are traditional almost photographic renderings that my father bought off an artist right after the second World War. A summer scene and an autumn scene, both on a river.

The other two are more amateur crafted landscapes, done in a minimalist, interpretive style that my parents were given as a gift from my sister's husbands parents. These are farm scenes.

But what I consider to be the main focal point is two woodcut pictures done by my sister's husband. These take pride of place in the part of the room that is most travelled. And I consider them much more valuable since the artist has been exhibited in the National Gallery in Ottawa. My favourite is the whale hunting scene captured in 3D relief.

An oil painting of a beautiful landscape, some would say it was to big for our wall, but we love it.

A Large Yellow and White flower still life picture.
In all due respect for my Dad and his late wife, I keep it hung on the wall. It's ok, just not my choice of pictures to hang on the wall. I guess Dad likes it, because he has never said otherwise, and it's his house.

It's a photo mosaic of Princess Diana, it's about 4 foot long & 3 foot wide. Lots of flowers that make the image. My wife is a big fan of hers. It has a blue & purple background & is framed in gold.

It is a gorgeous painting my brother in law painted of a grist mill in Norris, Tennessee, where he and my husband used to play when they were little boys. It has been over every sofa that we've had since we got married. It's one of our treasures. God bless!!
