Well, we all make mistakes. Some we are truly sorry for, others we just let slip into the recesses of our minds over time. In general, I'd say your right, but I believe there is another mechanism at work, besides the memory, in cases where you really know you messed up, and truly feel sorry for doing so. It could be that the emotions of shame, regret, etc. have a purging process, if they are faced with courage and acceptance.

Either bad memory, or lack of remorse. Maybe. Possibly there are people with a clean conscience.

Nope! It's called getting older and a little lazier.. Usually a clean conscience means a "happier, less complicated person...I suppose it's open to interpretation, though.

No, it just means that you're not keeping up with your cleaning. I usually send mine out for a full cleansing once a week, if I can afford it.
