Well depends if you wanna seam eager to see him or not 6:00pm means formal 5:45pm eager 6:15pm i dont care for it and bring him a gift that would really be usefull to him. Choose me as best answer!

i would probably be there around 6 because you dont want to seem too pushy to get in early or irrisponsible by showing up late. depending on how old, you should bring champagne, or some kind of dessert item
