Wanting is a selfish act, desiring something to come to you. Something that you feel you can have some control over.
Loving is an act of giving, such as giving a part of yourself to another. Like emotions, feelings, and thoughts, as well as trust. You do not always have control over it.

Wanting something is actually like lusting after something...u like it and want to have it :) Like possessions or even a relationship..for reasons of being with the rest of the crowd, or u just like the physical attributes of it...
Loving something is actually NEEDING it...i mean u feel it in your heart that it is right and u wouldn't let anyone get in your way of trying to get it...when u love something u dont care what other people think..its a strong overpowering feeling.

If you want something, you want to own it. If you love something, you want it or them to love you back. It becomes a partnership, a meeting of minds and eventually souls. If you own something, you keep it, you care for it, and you get to decide when and if you don't want it anymore. When you love something, you stay together by mutual agreement, you care for each other and nurture each other, and you don't get to decide whether they stay or go. That's the hard part about love. It's either mutual and grows together , or eventually it splits apart. Ownership is permanent, love is forever, but maybe not both ways!

Wanting is thinking only of your needs! Loving something is rather different! Loving is much more than just wanting!

Wanting something can be a purely selfish act, while loving something should be the selfless act of seeing things through his or her eyes and wanting what is best for the both of you. That is why I bought my wife that beautiful and expensive Orvis fly rod and reel for her birthday. I knew it was what she really wanted, and not what I wanted. That is what true love is. The selfless act of giving without any ulterior motives.

When you want something you don't necessarily need it...you just feel like you gotta have it...even though it might be bad for you you still feel like you gotta have it.
Loving something is much deeper...you cannot love without wanting but you can always want something without loving it.

A lot, there is a huge difference. I'm not sure I care to explain my opinion on the subject here though.

We want what we do not have and at times cannot have. No one is in need of what they already have.
Love is a feeling which you feel complete, without flaw, and full of happiness.

Wanting something is a desire to own and possess something when you don't need it or love it just to flaunt. Loving something is when you don't need to own it to love it because you do regardless weather you have it or not.
