of brand new stuff that we buy it's white somehow soft for example when we buy a refrigrator it's around that .sometimes it's used as an isolator in the ceilings it's used for packaging i'm desperately looking for that please help.

styrofoam. Not sure of the spelling but I think it's that. Fibreglass can also be used in ceilings as insulators.

styrofoam, or perhaps peanuts... that's what the little pieces are called when used in packaging
