I have learned from experience that the answer to that question is YES, most definitely. Trying to get out of a lie just causes more lies and and cause some serious issues/problems and it will just keep escalating until someone is hurt or even relationships/friendships are lost forever and can never be repaired.

I would say He** yyyyyyeeeeeesssss! You would think this would be time for confession if ever right! Honesty is clearly the best way to go... Why do some people not get that?

Yes, that's true. After being caught with a lie, it may be better to spill the beans before matters get worst. By then, it will be too little, too late.

Yes and when they mess up they should just come clean asw ell. Denying it will only make it worse. I was honest and admitted to Miss T that I messed up instead of denying it as that would have made things ten times worse then what they are.
