When I find a person on here that I think I would like to answer more of their questions, I can't because their hidden. Then you have to ask their permission if you can add them to your contacts. I liked it better before all the hidden crap!

I liked it before all the hidden crap too. But a lot of us just hide from the trolls, it has nothing to do with stupid answers or questions or to be a snob.

I don't think of it as stupid
But I will not answer questions of a questioner
who hides their previous questions
The reason being
If I feel a question is insincere I will look back at the others to see if they are of the same type or
just rambling of someone
as an example

I'm 10 and I you know, what do I do?
before I answer I will check back to previous
If I see contradiction such as
I'm 20 and my boyfriend just

I won't even answer

It's not sOo bad to hide the questions !?! I say this because : Say for instance I come up with a really good detailed question !?! I MAY hide it until I feel like I've asked what I had in mind,. In full !! .. Or I might change something in it that may have me think of a completely different way I'd want to say,ask or type it out !?! So that's not SOo bAd !!

Are only allowed 200 contacts.
Have effectively eliminated trolls and stalkers.
Personally selecting contacts gives the ability to eliminate 13-17 yr. olds, although there may have one or two contacts in this age group, want contacts more my age, interests, etc.
This is not a find a new mate/match site.
We are not supposed to advertise or solicit.
Ignorant emails have been eliminated.
I won't knowingly accept racist, ignorant contacts whose everyday goal, is to demean others.

Doesn't bother me if anyone hides their Q and A's and other info. For what some have been thru on here I don't blame them at all. Everyone has a choice how they set their account up. If Yahoo didn't want folks to have choices, they wouldn't have provided the options.

Good for you, you've never had a stalker. I did, they reported all my open answers. It was a slow week, I hardly had any. Not that it matters that much, I don't really care about the points, but I would hate to be suspended and lose my email account.

people hide there questions and answers for different reasons and i dont think its stupid either, i hide mine because i keep getting violations, and as i don't know who it is its safer to hide my network,i also never add any one they seem to add me and i only add people i think i can trust

I don't.....I have far less violations than before because little trolls can't report every question I have answered.

i don't think its stupid, maybe they don't want others to read what kind of questions they had, like for instance a personal questions. we all have our own things going on.
