Hello garnders...
I recently acquired a Floribunda Rose and have recently repotted it using the soil recommended by the nursery.
It is watered thoroughly in the mornings and receives full sunlight. My concern is that the leaves are turning a pale green. Is this a sign of poor health, and if so, how can I help this beautiful Rose?

From what is sounds like it could be that you are over watering it. If it is potted and is being watered every morning then that is probably your problem. Make sure that the top 3 inches of soil is dry before you water. Also, just in case your rose is not in a large pot, you will need to get it in one ASAP. A Floribunda will need at least a 25 liter pot or a half barrel to grow well. Another thing you can try is to feed it some fish emulsion or fertilizers meant for roses. They love the stuff.
Good Luck

As your rose is in a pot it may need watering everyday, and if you live in a very dry climate it may need even two waters a day. Check your watering by placing your finger in the soil if it comes out damp, don't water if dry check your watering schedule.

Roses like regular watering, and are gross feeders so they like regular feeding at the recommended rate.

It is hard going for a rose in a pot. I think it may be getting to much sun. Is it possible to put the pot in morning sun for a while it see if this helps. Where I live even though roses are supposed to need full sun, half a day is all they need. Too much sun does cause some plants to go "yellowish".

Also check your pot, is it made of cement. Your plant may be getting too much lime from the pot. If this is the case, empty the pot of plant and paint the inside of the pot with a pot sealer. This will stop the lime leaching and will also stop evaporation of water through the sides of the pot. Good luck. I'm sure it's only a minor problem.

is it possible that you may be over watering ? try grinding a banana peel and mixing it with water to pour around the outer edges of the root ball. It has worked for me, it was suggested by a gardener to me. Roses love potassium.
