OK, this is my idea for a great invention for parents. A remote control that whenever a kid, teenager, or young twenties person presses a button to change the channel, they get an electric shock. Just strong enought to be considered aversion therapy.

That should end one of the most annoying things that we have to suffer as parents. Perpetual channel changing.

What do you think of it, or have you got any better inventions for any purpose really to help us live with our children?

Or you could buy a second TV. You do realize they can cost as little as $50 you know?

A twenties person would buy his/her own tv unless you are forbidding it for some reason, which is pointless.

A teenager probably doesn't want to watch tv with his parents, so get him/her one for their birthday.

A kid should not be watching that much television, and certainly not whatever adults are watching. Have them do something educational, like maybe reading for a change.

lol OK I so know what you mean, my son [think this also a man thing coming into play here] BUT he would hog the remote and surf all the time basically I think it is often due to the average attention span or LACK of it at that age.

but would have most interested in that gadget back in the day.

How about the other one [which we actually do HAVE on our fridge] that if they stand in front of it for too long then an alarm goes off....the first time that happened he just about had a heart attack.............you know that teenager thing of standing in front TRYING to decide what to have lol lol

regards and THANKS for a really nice smile for the day.....

Yeah ive got a better invention its called manners all you have to do is educate the child in knowing that manners cost nothing and in return you get instant respect no need to water.

Amen to that. however a shock collar that goes off if they're not on the property by a certain time would be good also. or one for Young men that goes off when certain things come up. LOL

Who gets to watch TV? First there is chores, homework and then get dinner started. Dishes and we go to Church two nights a week. Besides it is boring!!!!!!!!!!!to many commercials.
I play on the computer in my room.
Get net flix you not only get movies but you can go on the computer and watch movies for free.
TV has to many commercials to want to watch it, to boring.

You ask this question just at the right time, I've just been arguing with my two teenage boys over it. They never satisfied with one channel.

Its a very good idea! :-)
