I couldn't agree more.
The way I see it is this - I'm all for players trying to get as much as they can. However, if the situation were reversed - say Quinn is drafted 8th and the Browns try to give him #22 money - the player and his agent would be up in arms talking about this throws off the whole slotting system. The system exists not only for the benefit of the owners, but also for the players. It's just unfortunate that Quinn and/or his agent are trying to be greedy and to undermine the system.

I am NOT a Brady Quinn fan, but the Cleveland Browns are being difficult as well. They drafted an offensive lineman at #3, and didn't want to pay him what Vince Young signed for last year (#3 pick) because they say that quarterbacks are paid more than other positions.
Now when they negotiate with Quinn, they want to pay him where the #22 from last year was slotted (a non-qb).
I agree that Quinn is being unreasonable, but the Browns can't have it both ways either.

Peoples in Cleveland is starting to hate him already, for what, cause you want to make top dollars as if you're a top 3 pick lol. Quinn your a 22nd pick not a top pick you can't expect top money pick, get over it. I guess all the hype during the year in college football, that the scouts said that's hes a top 3 pick but went it's not, he went into rage and still thinks he the top 3 pick by holding out for more money. He's gonna ruin his career before it even started yet, what a fool. Plus he got a chance to fight for the starting job if would just sign already. But i think the Browns is doing the right thing by not giving into his demand for more money.

I was suprised Quinn was even a first rounder. His accuracy sucks, and he doesn't really have deep throwing power. College hype means absolutely nothing to an NFL scout. They recognize talent, which is why the draft is run the way it is. Teams scouted Quinn, nobody saw anything worthwhile in him until #22 when Cleveland gambled on him, yes gambled! As a side note: Whoopthattrick, playing for Notre Dame and breaking all the records means nothing. Up to around 1988 Notre Dame was a true phenom in college football, since then, they have sucked ***, getting into bowls based on team history as opposed to team ability. Playing at Notre Dame no longer means anything, except you are somewhat talented and nobody else wanted to recruit you

He should be glad he got drafted. He gets to play a kids game for a living. He got drafted #22 so he should get paid like the #22 pick. He should tell his agent get me a contract that falls somewhere between what #21 and #23 got. Get into camp, earn your teammates respect, learn the system or you may be out of the league before you get a 2nd contract.

Quinn didnt deserve to be drafted 22nd but he did and he needs to get over it. He should just take the money the Browns are offering him and prove that hes worth more money. Then if he becomes an amazing QB then he should try to rework his contract.

i think brady quinn's an @ss. he already missed a bunch of training camp and is already behind the learning curve. you dont learn the offense during the season, you learn it before the season you selfish dumb@ss. there is a reason why you dropped to 22, because you're not an accurate passer that everyone hyped you up to be. he is already rubbing cleveland fans the wrong way. if he gets paid and screws up he will get booed forever like tim couch. and he also charges hundreds just to sign autographs, i mean he hasnt even done anything yet. for all we know his signature is worth as much as sh1t. he should just go to camp and get 22 money and be happy with it.

Any good will Quinn had as the surprise saviour of the Browns is going down the toilet. He needs to earn the big contract by his play, instead of where he thinks he should have been drafted. If he misses too much camp, he will be out of synch all year and screw the Browns and himself.

Brady Quinn is selfish, no doubt about it... but he broke almost all of Notre Dames passing records, the mecca of all College Football for Quarterbacks... Joe Montana... ring a bell? He is better then a 22nd round draft pick.

He is holding out for more money than a #22 pick should get. He was in a mall last week selling his autograph for $75 a pop. He hasn't taken a single NFL snap yet. Nooooooooooo, he's not arrogant, not at all.
