Why does it seem like the Pontiac Granx Prix loses a LOT of a value after only one year? What is the reason?

mostly because it's a genital motors product [poorly planned and poorly built.with inferior materials by people who just don't care, and then sold by master thieves]

Because it's, at best, a mediocre automobile. It's currently the darling of a number of the auto rental fleets, and you can find all sorts of them sitting on used car lots everywhere. I'd NEVER buy a new one, and would have to think really hard about being even a used one at a decent price.
