I dont care about size of stadium like in Michigan they have over 100,000 seats but the stadium rarely gets THAT loud for that many people. (Source is people who go to games there). I Want to know which team has a nice following, die hard fans and towns that live and breathe the school's football team.

I'm an Ohio State fan and alumnus so I will always be biased to say there's nothing quite like going to the Varsity Club at 6 in the morning for kegs and eggs and then walking across the street to the Shoe to watch the Mighty Buckeyes.

However, from everything I've heard from other fans and reporters and commentators, the University of Nebraska has the most die hard fans in the land. For one, think about it, have you ever been to Lincoln, Nebraska? There is nothing, and I mean nothing, within 200 miles of that place in any direction except Iowa and a whole lot more of Nebraska. The stadium is always sold out and the crowds are raucous and passionate. That place is nothing but a sea of red on Saturdays. For instance, when you watch an Ohio State game, most of the fans are wearing scarlet and gray, but not everybody. Same for Michigan. Same for Georgia, etc. But in Nebraska, every living soul is wearing red in the stands.

It may sound cliche, but in Nebraska, college football really is a religion. I have a friend from New Jersey who went to college at Nebraska and he tells me it was like nothing he could have ever prepared for. College football analysts like Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreet also say that Nebraska fans are the best.

I was going to give an answer but after seeing a bunch of fan boys answers on here I'm going to be very generic.

Any team that sells out there stadium no matter what and still acts civil to others after a win or loss.

Sometimes that are NOT on the list are 10AhC, FSU, Ohio State, Georgia, Virginia,.

Alabama Crimson Tide

We are the only fans who think we are going to win the National Championship every year no matter what. Also, we sell out of every game. We have the most national Championships (13) and we always fill up a stadium come bowl time.

Last but not least we did have over 92,000 fans show up for our spring football game (A-Day). Can anyone else say that?

everyone is going to say their team, so I say every team as well.

I think the Big Ten fans are very good fans to be honest and their is a bias in there I will admit since I'm a Buckeye, always have been and always will be. I like teams that have had many losing seasons such as my Bucks and people have stuck with them through the good and the bad.

Oklahoma Sooners fans. They are great football fans, but they also respect visiting teams and their fans. Even on the rare occasion when a visiting Big-12 team comes here and beats us, our fans shake hands with and congratulate the visiting team's fans. You just don't see that at most places. You can even ask the fans who come here!

It really is hard to pick the greatest, because many colleges have great fans.
I will say this, if you love college football, you owe it to yourself to attend a night game at LSU. It gets so loud that you can't even talk to the person next to you.
I was at the "Earthquake Game". That moment was incredible.

I say any fans for the SEC....i mean what else do they have to do, the football game is the highlight of their week, unless there is a underground ring of cock fights they are betting on. Even in florida; football game or visit their grandparents, who probably live there.

In the SEC they are all difficult places to play but LSU, Tennessee and Florida stand out. I have been to College Station and Texas A&M is a tough place to play and the crowd is quite loud. I have been to OSU and I wasn't impressed. Not to take anything away from them but I guess my expectations were too high. Georgia would be a tougher place to play than OSU.

What a stupid freaking question. Everyone is going to pick the fans of his own favorite team. If they don't, it would be like saying I love the Gators but we pretty much suck as fans. That means I'm one of a bunch of big losers. Engage your brain before asking a question.
