As a person with bipolar disorder, I love this question. (Of course, the fact that Nicholson's my favorite actor doesn't hurt either.)
No, this isn't as good as it gets. You see, I only have about a quarter of an inch of gourmet hazelnut coffee left in my cup, and life gets even better in about thirty seconds when I pour myself another. We're having a vicious heatwave, and tonight it's going to be deliciously cool. This president will be replaced by another, my next pot of coffee will be chocolate-marshmallow flavored, and my friends will have even funkier things to tell me on the phone later. And even though I may be a few days older the next time I have sex, I'll be even better. This moment is never the best one there is.

No. You get sick of things and finally realize that it is YOU who has to change it. You pick a better soulmate, or find a better job. You stop taking for granted all the things you have and work harder to get the things you don't. No person who is a failure need look farther than the mirror to find the cure.

Well, things have been worse but they have also been better. I believe there is something to top it all just around the next corner.

Yeah, probably. As women we have high expectations, so often we end up dissapointed.
