I often talk about "you guys" when talking to a group of people. But, when you are talking to a group of ladies, they always give me funny looks, because they obviously are not guys.

So, is there a "female" version of "You guys" or what else could be used to refer to a the group of women you are talking to?

Sorry, but I don't think "Yo bitches" would cut it with my friends who are Christian mothers!!

LOL when I imagine their reaction if I was to call them that!!

You could say 'You gals' ... but it's not the 'gender' specification that is causing these people to give you the 'funny looks' ... It's the 'slang' ... many people feel that 'slang' should be 'limited' only to the 'very young and ignorant' even though I still use 'slang' at the age of 56 ... I don't use it often, though, so when I do use it, people LISTEN to what I'm saying ... but then they could do that because I was an 'Air Force Brat' and have this 'drill sergeant' persona that comes out on occasion.
You may also try using 'ladies' or just use 'you' ... the 'you' is probably the best, since there is not any 'gender specifics' attached to it.

I have always considered the phrase to be of a genderless nature..inclusive of both male and female, similar to the use of the word, mankind. however,to please those who are sensitive to using You Guys..as someone else has already stated..."You Gals" or maybe You Girls,You Sisters(if applicable),You Mamas,You Females, or the phrase that is used in the deep south here in Florida,You All or Y'all.
how about You Cowgirls? You Hoes,is not acceptable, however. LOL

You could say hey girls, but that sounds even weirder...

Like on "Freaky Friday"
When her mom was talking to a group
of girls and she said "hey girls"
they looked at her funny then she said "hey guys"

Im not really offened or anything when
someone says hey guys when im with a
group of people,
I know their not really calling me a guy.

Most people are used to it.

You could say chicas.

"You guys" is a pretty general expression. You could say "Hello everyone" or "what's up?"
