Yes.. There is.. Everyday, I'm still trying to not think about my past. I walked away from it a long time ago.. Until this day, it still keeps coming back and haunts me in my dreams.. There were times I thought I couldn't hang on anymore & sometimes, I just feel like letting all of it go..At times, I want to give up life & everything it offers me..The more one sees me smile, the deeper my emotional scar is.. I try everything to look at the glass half full and I do my best to open my eyes to see the world as beautiful.. Unfortunately, I don't succeed.. Too many things happened to me years ago and I will never forget it.. I don't really show the deeply wounded side of me to the real world.. I hate myself for being so fake, for not being able to let my fragile self be seen..

There's part of us that will always be a wounded child, most of us have that somewhere deep inside ourselves. In my opinion, it's finding that certain someone that you feel you can show that part of yourself to. If you do find them, and they are willing to accept that part of you, it's a wonderful and amazing thing.

that is why i wear a fake smile everyday so that people won't see the hurt that i'm suffering inside
