We'll consider the 3 consecutive even integers x-4,x-2,x. As soon as we find x, we know the third integer.
Your condition can now be written like this:
5*(x-4) = 14+3*(x-2)
5x - 20 = 14 + 3x-6
2x = 28 => x = 14
If you don't believe me, feel free to check the ecuation for the values of 10 and 12:
5*10 = 14 + 3*12
50 = 14 + 36
50 = 50, which is true => the third integer is x=14

Let x = 1st no., x + 2 = 2nd no., x + 4 = 3rd no.
5x = 3(x + 2) + 14
5x = 3x + 6 + 14
2x = 20
x = 10
x + 2 = 12
x + 4 = 14
Answer: 14 = the third consecutive no.
Proof:
5(10) = 3(12) + 14
50 = 36 + 14
50 = 50

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, since lots of teachers don't explain things well.
Rewrite it as an equation. 5 times something is 5x. "is" is your=. 14 more than is 14+. 3 times the second is 3(x+2) since they are even integers (if they were just integers, it would be x+1). So your equation is:
5x=14+3(x+2)
Solve for x.
multiply x+2 time 3. 5x=14+3x+6
add the constants. 5x=3x+20
Subtract 3x from each side. 2x=20
Divide by the coefficient (2). x=10
So 10 is the first even integer. 12 and 14 are next.
Check your answer. 5 times 10 is 50. 3 times 12 is 36. 50-36=14
I'd advise you to go through that until you really understand each step. It's the only way to learn.

5* (x) = 14 + 3(x+2)
X is your first consecutive even integer.
5x = 14 + 3x + 6
5x = 3x + 20
2x = 20
x = 10
10 is the first integer, so the third integer would be 14

let x be the first one
so x + 2 is the second one and x + 4 the third one
we have:
5*x : 5 times the first
3*(x+2) : 3 times the second
3*(x+2) +14 : 14 more than 3 times the second
Finally
5 * x = 3*(x + 2) + 14
5x = 3x + 6 + 14
5x = 3x + 20
2x = 20
x = 10
So the third number is 10 + 4 = 14.

x=1st integer
x+2=2nd integer
x+4=3rd integer
solution:
5x = 14+3(x+2)
5x = 14+3x+6
5x = 20+3x
5x-3x = 20
2x = 20
x = 10
x+4 = 14

2x = 1st integer
2x+2 = 2nd integer
2x+4= 3rd integer
so 5(2x) = 3(2x+2)+14
10 x = 6x +6+14
4x = 20
x = 5
2x+4 = 14 = 3rd integer [1st is 10 and 2nd = 12]

let the no.s be
x,x+2,x+4 where x is an even integer.
according to the question
5x=3(x+2)+14
or 5x = 3x + 6 + 14
or 2x = 20
or x=10
So the third no. is x+4
i.e. 14 (Answer)
Now you should practice five such questions.

let the first is x
the scond is x+2
third x+4
so
5x-3(x+2)=14
5x-3x-6=14
2x=14+6
2x=20
x=20/2=10
the third=x+4=10+4=14
