I think that, if the financial situation allows and if the father is unable to keep commuting, then yes, Dad should stay at home with the kids. Society should be more encouraging of this, rather than to keep socializing boys to be the breadwinners.

I do not have a lot of respect for them....
that is, unless they have a disabled kid or something and they do not have a wife or partner to care for the kid
