Why is it that the conclusions they draw never seem to make any sence, or are based upon anything real?

Any one who has a "phobia" of anything is by literal definition suffering from an irrational fear of something.

A "Phobia" is a psychiatric condition albeit a mild one which you can find listed in any good medical directory.

So the blunt answer is that homo-phobia sufferers are in effect slightly mentally unhinged (sorry if you don't like this but that is what having a phobia means in a medical sense...) and hence they aren't likely to make any rational sense even though in their own warped minds they do...

But hey... the crazy man is always the last one to realise that he needs a shrink. He and his crazy mates will always think that they are geniuses and that it is everyone else who is mad!

Any phobia is an unreasoned fear of something. Reasoned fears are sane, such as the fear of jumping out of an airplane without a parachute.

Perhaps with the AIDS disease as rampant as it is, there is sane reason to fear acceptance of that lifestyle. As it is reported to be practiced (sometimes without regard to the safety of others) and has been politically protected by activists in the gay community, sanity (reasoned desire for a continuation of ones own life and the lives of loved ones) would imply abstainance from such activity. According to the rules of psychology, just cause now exists to fear homosexuality.

Due to this change in the world over the last 25 years, it is the responsibility of any true clinician to acknowlege that those who oppose homosexuality are, for reasons of health sciences alone, not neccessarily homophobic..

So, with the spread of this incurable disease from a few dozen in the 80's to so many hundreds of thousands now, where exactly does "logic fly out the window"?

Not all who oppose homosexuality are homophobic. Some truly are homophobic, fearing homosexuality based on illogical premise (or no premise at all) But there are many who have real sane fear of the practice due to those in their intimate circle who may participate in the homosexual lifestyle and subsequently put their lives at risk.

unhappy to assert their are those we expect of all of us comprehend like acquaintances that tutor their actual colorings while they're provided with a reality they the two do not understand or disagree with. those at the instant are not the form of acquaintances you choose to have around. i won't be in a position to have confidence this modern-day day how many all of us remains so bigoted approximately something that doesn't contain them. i'm a lesbian and have considered a number of their bigotry substitute to correctly known-how, although that's a sluggish and thankless highway we are traveling looking forward to others to not choose and be tolerant. My companion and that i've got been at the same time 29 years and issues are turning out to be extra effectual for the duration of those years although that's going to take long previous my existence span to actual be considered equivalent. 50 years from now there'll nonetheless be those disliking human beings of alternative races, distinctive religions and so will there be ones who disprove of our lives. do not enable it hassle you, there is not something you're able to do approximately it, until you have the understanding and lower back floor to get into politics and can get some regulations handed which will help us. You sound youthful, you will locate human beings you could call buddy which will settle for you for being you the others at the instant are not well worth nerve-racking approximately. do not enable their lack of expertise hassle you, existence is a lot to short for that.

i used to be a HUGE homophobe, and now that ive grown up i understand how stupid it really was. BUT if it really is a phoia (irrational, uncontrollable fear) and not just a personal bias (like mine was, and attrubuted to the way i was raised and the negative feeling i absorbed from the older members of my family) then that is exactly why logic goes out the window. just as if someone has aracniphopia (fear of spiders) or tricadekophibia (fear of the number 13) they are utterly terrified of these things for no reason other than the way they are, most spiders cant/wont harm you... and when was the last time someone was attacked by the number 13? however if it is personal bias they have for some reason it is anchored in theie 'gut' or thier upbringing, or their emotions. and all of things (it human nature) tend to out-weigh simple logic. humans are creturres of emotion, ruled by love, lust, desire, fear, among others. most of the conclusions are mostly based on rumors, clouded views, and steriotypes. "All gays are disgusting sex addicts" is no more correct than "All black people are violent gang members" or "All white people are rich snobs"... i think you get my point. its all bias one way or another, unless its a real phobia then it may be attributed to a chemical imbalance or nurological problems.

Some of you need to stop using this RIDULOUS word as an excuse to Christian-bash.
Here are links to 4 non-Christian groups who are against homosexuals. If your true agenda was to oppose homophobia, then you would be addressing these groups too. But you lie to your fellow gays and convince them that it is all Christians who are phobic. Stop name calling and keep it real.
For some folks the aversion is a physical repulsion, NOT fear... what's to fear??

Because homophobia is taught from a very early age, most homophobes think they're right. When you're convinced you're right, everyone who disagrees is wrong. You'll never win an argument against a homophobe, they're always right, haven't you read the bible and learnt from that yet?

Because some people were raised to be afraid of gay people. I was raised understanding that all gay people were pedophiles. That is far from true. I know many gay people and none of them are bad. But, in the back of my mind is the little voice from childhood telling me to watch out. It is hard to overcome what is taught at a very early age. You must try to overcome the irrational fear and embrace acceptance. Put prejudice aside and it will set you free.

Most of homophobia is drawn from religion which is more of belief over knowledge and science. Since belief conquers all in their perspective they have no need for logic. Walk blindly with faith in god or learn he doesn't exist with logic.

Logic flys out the window when one uses a nonsensical word like "Homophobe" that doesn't correctly describe what it's supposed to define.
Ya'll need to find a word that correctly defines how people that are against homosexuality FEEL, FEAR (phobia) is NOT a factor.
Better yet.. how about you stop calling people names, and being intolerant of others. Name calling is NEVER ok.
Thank you, and have a nice day =)
*** LOL- The homosexual community needs to take a POLL, and find out IF "homophobes" (your silly word) FEAR homosexuals. The answer is a FLAT OUT no. SO thumbs down me all day, BUT reailty is YOU'RE the ignorant ones. Stop name calling and grow the hell up.
