i wanna choose b/w java or oracle.....how 2 procede 4m thr onwards...which is better?

They're fairly different, but it's not clear which is "better." Good Oracle developers are more in demand than (generic) Java developers and command better salaries, but good (J2EE) Java developers are probably ahead of both.

Java in general is much broader and covers technologies from cell phones (JME) to web (J2EE). Oracle is more specialized, the work will be in the back-end/database tier.

If you are just starting out, my recommendation would be to not get too specialized -- learn both Oracle and Java. Work some on Hibernate and the J2EE persistence technologies, if you like the database angle.
