Yes, it's not something I'm very proud of though. Couldn't bear to hurt his feelings, so I would hang around with him from time although he was dreadfully boring company. All he would say was yes and no if I asked a direct question. I don't know if he was just that shy or what, but he still kept asking me to see him. Eventually we just stopped seeing each other and I was secretly relieved.

yeah. loads of times. i did it because i didnt want to hurt their feelings but when i did that i just understood that i'm decieving myself and them. so i say i'm busy or something and get away. when they contact i always say i have this or that to do. when i have avoided them a lot and they are starting to understand it i go to them with my friends so i'll have company i like.

well its kinda like that with me and my mother in law. we ok as long as we dont talk about my baby / her grand baby. she goes crazy and starts actin all retarded so i try to keep my distance from her when it comes to the baby but if we just hang out together and not talk about the baby we ok. i guess thats one type of example. so yes to your question.

I don't call that friendship. They are acquaintances and the relationship is usually superficial small talk.
