has anyone got a different performance from their car using supermarket petrol against proprietory brands like Shell or BP?

yes at morrissons I buy a litre get the second litre at half price

Petrol is the same product everywhere, apart from octane levels. It all comes off of the same tankers and is "cracked" into different type of fuels (deisel, etc.). If you think you have perfomance differences it is for all the other reasons.

yes i got worse mileage on some gas that was purchased at a wal -mart center once.my truck ran real bad on it,i thought it was water,but it was just bad gas,that's the only time i have ever bought any like that and it was and will be the last time also,i stay with places that sell a lot of gas,this means your at least getting fresh gas,good luck on it.
