No. I don't think he is as evil as he was portrayed in the past books, but he still isn't a great guy.

Crabbe and Goyle wanted to seize Potter to gain a reward. Malfoy went along with them. You're known by the company you keep. Malfoy's a bad boy. Read the chapter with the diadem in the Room of Requirement again.

No, he's not completely good. However, he's not evil either. Draco is a member of the aristocracy and is vain and arrogant. But the realities of evil were more than he was really prepared for and by the time he understood that he was in way too deep to get out.

Yes, I think he is good. Draco was always raised and surrounded by death eaters and the evil side when he grew up because his father, Luscius, was a death eater. His aunt Bellatrix was death eater too. I think he felt like he had to be evil or he grew accustomedto being evil, because he was raised by evil purebloods. And if his family didn't obey Voldemort and stopped being a death eater he, along with his family, would be dead! In the sixth book he didn't have the courage to kill Dumbledore! Since Voldemort died, he felt like he didn't have to be evil anymore.

I think he is a good character, but like someone else said, he will always want to be the center of attention and pick people he'll bully. But, no, he is a good person, because it shows in the book....but I can se where you're not so sure.

Of course he's not a good character! He was just too afraid to kill anyone. He wasn't good at all, just a whimp, who shouldn't have been messing around with Voldemort.There wasn't good or bad, so malfoy was neither i guess, somewhere in between.

I don't think he's good, but not actually "evil" either. It would have been nice if, after Harry saved his @ss, oh I don't know, a MILLION times, that he did more than just "nod curtly" when he saw him 19 years later on the platform. Bah.

well i think he's a better person. it's just that he is still stuck up and evil. i wonder if draco's son will like, compete against harry's son??? that would be interesting. maybe jkr should write about james, albus, and scorpious at hogwarts.
