Don't have a favourite but would select from not the latest films but older, classic films of their genre, to include:
Most Woody Allen films
Mimi Metallurgico (Italian classic political comedy)
Tampopo (Japanese)
Jamon, Jamon (Spanish)
Nuevo Cinema Paradiso (Italian sentimental)
Any film with Daniel Auteuil in it (French)
Some Like It Hot
The Firemen's Ball (1967 Czech Milos Forman film)
Then, of course, I'd make him watch Hobson's Choice, Brief Encounter and Casablanca until he begged for mercy.
