It would be sweet for non Yankee fans but it 'aint gonna happen.
P.S. Were 2.5 games back of you're Tigers.
P.S.S. Objects in mirror may be closer then they appear.

If (when) the Yankees are eliminated, I'd like to see the media -- print and cast -- take ONE day to overwhelmingly indulge their need for Yankees stories. Whatever the spin -- Behold The Doom Of Overspending, No Team Chemistry, The End Of An Era, Steinbrenner Suffers Stroke, Faith Of A Nation Shaken, Behead Cashman And Torre Now!, Why ARod Is Not MVP, even a We Wuz Robbed! whinefest -- whatever crap they want to spew, go and do it, take one day, and then SHUT UP about the Yankees for the rest of the postseason. NO mention of the Yankees until the day after the trophy is handed over. Don't even hire any Yankees as commentators (especially not Torre; I'd like an October without seeing that craggy, dour visage on the teevee).
Now that would be sweet.
Season ends September 30 without playoff games; postseason starts October 3. So October 1st or 2nd is your day, mediots. Think you can do it, three weeks without babbling about the Yankees? Try, do.

reliable question properly the lads the Yankees are utilising are Rasner who've been not consistent his couple stars at first he doing reliable, yet is in a droop . comprehend Ponson has been so so one undesirable interest against the Rangers,. consistent with danger the Yankees nevertheless have desire in Hughes and Kennedy , the two would desire to tutor they belong in the great leagues. the ingredient is the Yankees dont prefer to gtive away possibilities, properly Burnett settlement on the tip he can circulate away and Bedard has been injured and after like a hundred pitches in 5 innings not reliable, i purely say get some from the equipment and make it paintings

Yes. The Yankees will flop later this season. The Tigers and Indians will improve. They have been both struggling the past few weeks. I say Indians, Tigers, Angels and Red Sox for the AL in the playoffs

Yes that would be nice. I'm not taking anything away from what the Yankees have done but if there was a year for them to miss the playoffs it is now. Hopefully the Red Sox and Indians get hot and the Tigers stay good enough to keep them out of the wild card race.

Look, Georgie... Stop fantasizing.
Cuz you can start the party!!!!! The Yankees will never get the East this year, and their next best hope is the wildcard, and they'd need to overcome your Detroit Tigers and my Seattle Mariners.... HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that is hilarious! A toast to that, my friend!

It might be nice 4 u. 2 bad it's not gonna happen anytime soon. 2.5 back of ur Tigers, I'd be careful, especially after that outburst the Sox had against Clemens the other day.

Yes, it would, but you do realize ESPN and everyone else broadcasting games in the play-offs, would find a way to mention the Yankees? Example: "The (fill in the blank) are World Champions! By the way, the Yankees are looking to find bullpen help in the off season!"
