Yes. 2-3 GB of hard drive space will be occupied by the movie. I will assume you are copying a DVD movie? If you are downloading from the net, scan it for virii before you open it.

Do you mean Downloaded on it?
I always try to preview a movie I'm downloading after it gets to about 5%.If it wont play...It's something you don't want!
Cancil Download on it and remove it from your Incomplete Objects folder.

As long as it is a good source (without Viruses) then you'll only take up hard drive space.
