In November I plan on taking classes at the Art Institute and I wanted to know if any of you know how the school is or anyone who attends the school and how they like it? By the way I will be majoring in baking and pastry arts.

I've taken classes at AI before but in CA. The school has a good rep but is overpriced to me. I went to Johnson & Wales in Denver and majored in the same thing. However I was there last week to help a friend find out about the same program. The campus looks nice and I'm sure you'll have a good time. Chef Pederson looked like he knew what he was doing. Just be sure to not rely on your education for a job, you'll still have to work your way up.

It's a proprietary post-secondary education school. Though we have much lower-cost facilities for training in the culinary arts (Vo-Tech High School and UNLV's College of Hotel and Restaurant Administration, e.g.), the school fills a niche for those who received only an academic education in high school that prepared them to do nothing in the work place.
But, I hear it's quite expensive compared to public education facilities.
