There's a rumor that the reason they took the Sky Pilot ride from King's Dominion was because it killed some kid after he turned upside down and the hatch of the ride opened up. The ride opened in 1989 and I believe took down like 2 or 3 years later. It was a spinning aviator ride where you could do barrel rolls, etc.

I've been trying to do research into it and haven't been able to find any. So, did it really happen?

Hmmm...I've never heard anything like that about Kings Dominion. The only ride I know of that anyone died on was Shockwave a few years ago, but that was because someone was being stupid and was showing off on it, which caused them to fall off the coaster while going through the loop, thus killing himself.

False. No one was killed on it. It was probably removed so to being old and low ride amounts per day. It was there from 1989 to 1998
