I guess the latest is that the caregiver died of a heart attack...that his wounds were not life threatening. But why did Rhames need a caregiver anyway? Especially, since Rhames was apparently out of country when the "accident" happened.

Well, "caretaker": certainly makes more sense. The original news casts and articles on the guy's death said he was a "caregiver" and I hadn't heard anything about Rhames being sick, let alone needing a caregiver. Thanks.

According to CNN/Anderson Cooper 360, the caretaker was the caretaker of the dogs. A spokesperson for the ASPCA said the Bull Mastiffs are normaly very docile and perhaps the caretaker died of a heart attack or something else and it spooked the dogs and they bit him after the incident. It's possible that the dogs were fond of him because he had been with them for 2 years and were in their way trying to revive him. And Rhames was out of the country filming a movie.

Rhames is a wealthy man.He has all of the spoils of success, that any other Hollywood star would have.He has a large estate.that usually means that a staff is employed to take care of the grounds.

Not caregiver - caretaker. A caretaker is someone who maintains a property, like a property manager.
