I am having twin girls and like the names jocelina (jo-cell-ee-nah) and Avabella (ah-vah-bell-ah). My mother came from italy and my father is from spain so i wanted the names to kind of sound like like they had the italian/spanish background. I also need middle names but i want them to be american names because i was born in the US and so was the father. so please tell me what you think and give suggestions! thanks

I agree with "Clairessa"... They certainly sound like a meshed American name. If you want it to sound Spanish or Italian, shorten them up a bit. Perhaps Ava & Bella... Other pretty names with dual Spanish/Italian origin for twins:

Benina & Adelina
Camilla & Emilia
Estella & Sophia
Evita & Isabella
Rosaria & Adriana

Middle names: these are the top names in the US this past decade

Emily
Emma
Madison
Abigail
Olivia
Isabella
Hannah
Samantha
Ava

So... you can do a variety of combinations! You can stick with your likings- Jocelina Olivia & Avabella Hannah. Also, you can do their middle names the same: Jocelina Emma & Avabella Emma or you can do their names as inverses: Jocelina Avabella & Avabella Jocelina. There's lots of possibilities.

It's your child- do what you want! :-)

Jocelina Lynn / Avabella Marie. What ever the middle name is, keep it to 1-2 syllables.

Jocelina & Avabella are good names.

having twins is a good reason to name the little ones after you & their daddy too. it would be the middle name though. for instance, Jocelina [feminine form of dad's name] & Avabella Madeline [or whatever your first full name is]. or you can switch it around and make Joce's Madeline & Ava's daddy's.

just an example: if the dad's name is Nick, one twin can have Nicollete as their middle name. etc, etc.

congrats & good luck.
