In my windows Xp professional , through "RUN"i reached 'SYSTEM CONFIGURATION Window" when i trried to make som emodification it does not work i have to go to ctrl-alt-delete. the same story repeats. how to solve?

Do you mean msconfig? attempt deselecting all of them or deselect all of them - separately - to ascertain if it makes any distinction. that's a competent thought to depart the anti-virus technique on my own although.
