We always took down the Christmas tree on New Years eve. My Dad and us kids. We had a lot of fun!

Actually both, my parents thought of New Years as a family and friend time , so we'd go out to dinner , then family and friends would start dropping in. We'd play crazy games and eat and they'd turn on Lombardo and then New Year's Rockin Eve for the "kids".

Did the dress up and let's go party stuff a couple of times , preferred partying at home with parents and friends , no weird drunks there.

Royal Canadian Air Farce though my husband and I, if we're home for the countdown, usually flip over to watch the ball come down in Times Square with Dick Clark.

Talk about old...that is ME! I have had so many New Year's Eves spent running a large bar that if I never celebrate another , it will be too soon. No one in this house hold holds this night as anything but a night NOT to be on the road.
