Dear Yahoo,

I'm at a summer picnic; I look over and a guy is sprinkling salt on his melon. I tell him he's nuts. He says I'm crazy. We fight, knock over the potato salad, and are asked to leave the company party. My question is, do you salt your melon?

Indeed. I am not a rabid salt abuser, I hardly use it on anything, but definitely on Watermelon and Cantaloupe.

Your experience sounds a bit like the old "You got chocolate in my peanut butter" commercials.

hi, can not say i've got tried that yet i'm often game for many issues. you assert it sweetens them, i ask your self what the technology is in that. Oh properly here is going no longer something ventured no longer something gained,i'm going to allow you be conscious of if it does something for me. @ the only fruit I even have in are incredibly apples, so I sprinkled on slightly salt and that i might desire to assert It incredibly replaced the style particularly the way it tasted i can not clarify, nonetheless i think of i'm going to save on with the unsalted style using fact I do might desire to observe the previous BP. Oh and Hubbies face when I utilized the salt became something equivalent to awe and disgust. LOL.

LOL! Okay my husband might, because the freak puts salt on oranges! But you're right, it's wacked. As far as I'm concerned, the only fruit you should put salt on is tomatos (and frankly it shouldn't even be considered a fruit). Apparently the only good taste my husband has is his woman!

Heck no and I'm a rabid, dyed-in-the-wool salt addict that salts EVERYTHING. But not melon! Ugh! Might as well salt my jello, too. Gross!

Never! However, my father, his father, and grandfather all did. Maybe it's an age thing? Nowadays, so much of our food comes salted. Dad puts jam in his cottage cheese, too.
