I took my video iPod on my tripo to Europe. It was in my backpack when it when through airport security, but a coin was layijng on it. The magnetic field screwed up the display and now there is a black circle on the top right, the size of a quarter (the coin laying on top of it). It is surrounded by a thin ring of yellow. and rest of the screen is white with crack-like looking things. I can hear music but I can see anything but that. Can you heklp me... do i still have a warrenty?

depending on when you purchased it you still are covered under a 1 yr warranty. if it's within a year from date of purchase. if you didn't purchase the extended warranty you are s.o.l. like i am bcse mine died 1 month after the 1 yr warranty. you can take it to your local apple store to find out when you purchased it. or call apple and give them your serial # from the back

If you got it less than a year ago, you should still have a warranty. Take it to the nearest Apple store, and make an appointment at the "Genius Bar" (it might be better to do this online, it will make things faster). If the warranty is still good, they might just give you another, unless they think you deliberately destroyed it.

press both the center and menu buttons together for 6 seconds.it will reset.the songs will not be deleted

if that doesn't help connect it back to the pc and open itunes(version 7 or later and go to ipod section and press restore.it will restore it to factory settings and all data will be deleted) or (version 6 or less ) go to ipod directory in the hard drive where you installed the ipod and search for an icon saying ipod updater or sumthing.it will restore it

if these dont work then ur lcd is a goner and have to replace it
