why are aeroplanes white?

is there a reason why all planes are white, surely other colours would be better because the clouds are white.

Not all planes are white. White is a popular color because does not absorb heat when it is sitting on the tarmac. If you look, each airline has their own color scheme!

they come in all colors including just plain silver...many r white cause white paint is cheapest and the decals show up good...look at air Jamaca if you want to see gteat colors

Not all airplanes are white. I think they are white so they dont absorb as much heat.
