You can try crushing up the pellets; if that doesn't work, try baby brine shrimp. She should snap those up.

Snails can eat algae, but they don't consume very much. Not enough to rid your tank of it, anyway. They're mostly for your enjoyment as a pet or a tankmate for your betta (your betta must have at least 5 gallons to have a snail in there with her).

Bettas shouldn't eat snails, but they will eat them if the snails are small enough to fit in their mouths.

Try feeding it some crushed up tropical fish flakes, And if those dont work try some small bloodworms, Or live brine shrimp. And if its small snails (small brown ones) then there not really for anything they usualy are on liveplants when you buy them and they repopulate like rabbits, Larger snails like apple snails are for eating algae, But prefer foood, ( and will only eat the algae if they cant find food).

Make sure the tank water is very stagnant. Bettas live in muddy rice paddy ponds in the wild. Snails clean the tank of algae and old food droppings.

Just grind up the betta food into smaller pieces. They don't even require that much in the first place.

Go to a pet shop and buy "liquid baby fish food".

Or just try crushing up some fish flakes.
