I was living and working in Cairo Egypt. Great city, terrific people, culturally speaking - the thing that completely "turned me around" from a none caring kid into a person who wanted to educate himself. I climbed a pyramid, went to Sharm el Sheihk and realized just what an "insignificant" miniscule person I was in comparison to the whole of the planet as I stood near the great Mt. Sinai.
This response is likely too philisophical - but you asked the question and this is my honest answer.

I was in 10th grade. I was wearing ripped up jeans and watching MTV, especially The Headbanger's Ball. I was listening to Guns 'N Roses, and I went to the movies to see Cocktail, The Naked Gun and Coming To America. I had my longest-lasting relationship that year. My boyfriend and I stayed together for 8 whole months! That was a great year. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time for just a little while.

I was in 8th grade and living in Germany and I came back to the states for vacation that summer and got my first (and only) perm. I remember Red Red Wine (by UB40) and Parents Just Don't Understand (by DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince) were on the radio all the time.

I was hoping to pass my Senior year of high school so I could get out of the house and marry my husband. 18 years married in October. Wouldn't change a thing, except maybe all of the drinking I did.
Wow, there are a lot of really young ones here!

My wife and I went on a world cruise and were gone for over 6 months in order to take advantage of the land tours. It was a once in a lifetime experience and we loved every minute of it.

That was kind of a key year for me. I moved to another state and in with my dad that year and around November that year we saw Die Hard in the theater and loved it and sort of bonded.
That was also about the time we saw Lonesome Dove and he loved that so much that even now we still say lines from it.
