But I keep seeing that oh 16 is the average age, or 14, hell Sometimes even 8th grade. I think that is disgusting, I mean when is it going to stop.

I think it's sick that children are out sleeping around. They think that it makes them mature, yet they have no idea.
I'm 17 and I am a virgin (by choice. I was raped when I was 14 and since then I made a promise to remain a virgin until I was ready). Don't be pressured by anyone, it's your body and you've got to live with the consequences.
My best friend is almost 19 and in the same boat.

Well, to be truthful the average age nowadays is about 14 years old, and it's not changing anytime soon. Most kids now have boyfriends and girlfriends in the 4th grade. I mean I'm 16 and pregnant, but it wasn't a mistake, and my family is very happy with the decision, especially since my boyfriend is there for me. But honestly, sex is really not all it's cracked up to be. I don't really enjoy it. So really, you're not missing anything at all.

The best choice would be for more parents to be teaching their kids that having sex that young is a BAD CHOICE, and to continue to stay on them about it. I had sex for the first time when I was 16 and I regret it, and wish my parents had been a little more in tune with me and talked about how to value my body and sex just a tad more. I was giving it up to boys who wanted nothing more than to get in my pants. I wasn't valued for my personality, charm, intelligence, romance, none of that. If I had been talked to by a parent on a regular basis that these things held meaning and value, then perhaps I would have made better, more informed decisions about sex. Why are you so eager to say that all girls will lie to have sex, are you really being realistic? What girls really need is MORE from their parents.

I know! It IS disgusting! I'm 16 and i don't plan to do it anytime soon...I've only had one bf but that didn't last too long, but I totally agree with you. I think that kids have those puppy love crushes, and the media is always telling them that its okay to do IT, so once they do it they can't stop/dont know its not really right.

Don't worry about it, wait untill the right person comes along. You will know when the time is right. Don't just do it with anybody, you will regret it later on.
I think its nice that people should wait, there is far too much underage sex these days!

I think 12 is the perfect time 2 start dating personally. I think it's pretty retarded u've never had a gf, i have & i'm 12!! Ha ha ha! Lol!
