The House last night unanimously agreed to create a special select committee, with subpoena powers, to investigate Republican allegations that Democratic leaders had stolen a victory from the House GOP on a parliamentary vote late Thursday night.

The agreement to form a special committee was extraordinary. Such powerful investigative committees are usually reserved for issues such as the Watergate scandal and the funneling of profits from Iranian arms sales to the Nicaraguan contras in the 1980s.

"I don't know when something like this has happened before," said House deputy historian Fred W. Beuttler. He called the decision "incred

Isn't it amazing? The dems cried for years about the reps trying to cram legislation down their throats. Now they have the power, they do the same thing. I watched some of c-span yesterday, and the dem "speaker" was running rough shod over the reps. Baout time something was done.

Democrats have been stealing votes in Chicago since before JFK. However, Republicans have done the same thing all along and were much more effective in the last presidential election.

Our election process has been corrupt since its inception, depite what the corporate media wants you to believe. Sure the Democrate steal votes. However, members of both parties are guilty.

Open source voting software could make the system less vulnerable to corruption, however, this is very unlikely to happen.

lets think about this for a second.... You said, "The House last night unanimously agreed to create a special select committee, with subpoena powers, to investigate Republican allegations that Democratic leaders had stolen a victory from the House GOP on a parliamentary vote late Thursday night."

Now try to follow my logic here, there are democrats in the house, if they had anything to hid would they have voted unanimously for this?

Lets say it all together "No"

Is it too much to ask that a republican think before he or she posts idiotic questions that don't make sense?

They are all scumbags, whether they are Republican or Democrat. What this proves is that the American people have NO representation in Congress, that it is all about special interests and special favors. In this case the special interest is the illegal immigrant criminal who steals tax dollars from legitimate US citizens.

I intend to get on the phone and call my representatives and yell my head off at the goddammed rat-bastards.

The Demos are trying to push in favor of illegal immigration and the biggest scumbucket of all is Ted Kennedy, who should have simply stayed down there with Mary Jo when he drove off that bridge in a drunken stupor. America would have been better served if he had.

Just like all the politicians in Washington.
Always trying to supress the vote of the rich, white man.

Needs to be an investigation immediately or people around the world will think American democracy is a joke.

Thats an awful lot of money to throw at a vote tally board that flickered for a minute.
I'd file this one under 'obstructionism', too.
