Yes, what goes around comes around. But did they really have more time to vote under the rules? Pelosi apologized, so I imagine they did. Even a minor violation of the rules by the Democrats will not go unpunished. We'll hear about this incident on right wing media for years.
House Republicans are calling for a prompt Ethics Committee investigation. Compare this to the snail's pace investigation of Mark Foley's seduction of high school pages.

What's even more amusing is listening to them talk about it afterwards.... I caught the Faux News segment where two of the Republicans spoke about the issue.
They Republicans didn't really care about the vote itself -- they were offered a re-count of votes when it was acknowledged that this was a procedural violation.
It didn't seem to matter, even after it was pointed out to them they if the really had the votes to carry the measure, they should have accepted the offer of an immediate recount and no harm would have been done except for a little wasted time -- and for congress, that ain't anything..
All the two Republicans that were interviewed could comment on was how stupid they thought the Democrats were for voting the other way -- they didn't care about the procedural issues -- just that they didn't get their way.
Which means the issue isn't really about procedural irregularities that happen a few times every term -- they were just sore losers. At least, the two who went on the air.

oh you mean when the Democrats decided to continue a vote after everyone was tallied until they got the results they wanted? The one they subsequently apologized for?

Gee, it's funny that Dems lost a vote, changed the result, basically, nullified the congress and the constitution. Oh yeah I am laughing right now. And ordering more guns and ammo for the fight for freedom that will be needed if a Dem get the WH in 08
