Yes, I've been in the newspaper. It was when I was in grade school and I won a regional contest. I saw my name mentioned in an article and a group picture with me in it. It was really nothing but my parents made a big fuss over it. Haha!
To be honest, I kind of liked it. I mean, it's like I have some record in history, no matter how small that may be. Although if I were in a car accident picture, I would be mortified too.
...
I just remembered another car accident when a beloved teacher died because of some idiots racing on a highway. Just a shout out to everyone: Drive safely.

I am a part time musician; sometimes I've had my picture in the local paper and even had my name mentioned a few times.
I have also had letters printed in the newspaper and even had them print an article I had written on a few occasions (those were small local newspapers). Once I wrote a concert review and somebody changed the way I said a few things and I didn't like it.
I did have my letter printed in The American Baha'i once, it's only read by people who belong to that religion, but it goes all over the USA. I was very happy about that.
I had my picture twice in the same issue of a music magazine in the 1970s and it mentioned my name in one of the articles. I got a kick out of it and I saved a copy.
Once I had a television camera pointed at me and I motioned to them to go away. I was on a park cleaning crew because it was the only job I could get at the time and I hated it; I wasn't too thrilled about being on TV doing that.

exterior of the actuality that the Democrats (no seats are held by utilising a Liberal occasion) have not had the ability in twelve years to electrify a vote, and so in case you have a project with the way the conflict has been mishandled blame your very own please. it would desire to easily be that in spite of packing the very superb courtroom its looks you are able to not in basic terms ban abortions that endanger the wellness of the mother. no longer something much less could seem to do, so Republican judges,Congress, even the President can do no longer something in the face of such stubbornness, no longer something wanting insisting women folk die will if certainty be told pick the flow the boat of the so-called professional-lifers. specific, Democrats do desire to honor the sacrifices the infantrymen have made, yet for the 1st time in my 60 year memory we've not have been given any pictures of rows of solemn flag draped coffins to hold a tear to ones eye in remembrance. those pictures, so touching in different wars, have been banned by utilising the Bush administration as, abruptly, being 'disrespectful'. So then, became it 'disrespectful' in all the different wars? Or is this conflict by some ability something which we aren't inspired to seem to heavily at, something that isn't undergo the scrutiny of historic past? Sorry you had an accident.
My picture was on the front page of our local paper. The reporter didn't ask my name, so the caption read "A woman discusses job opportunities at local job fair..." or something to that effect.
When people in the community say, "you look familiar", I tell them that I am "a woman" from the front page of the newspaper.
And I actually think they remember me from that picture.

Yes. I was surprised and really happy to see my name in the local newspaper at first but then after a week it did not mean that much. I am happy though but I do not really think about it that much. I won an essay competition.

Yes. Thank God my name wasn't mentioned. I was included as "2 others". Embarrassing moment in my life. Not something I want to remember. I did save the clipping though. Wrong place, wrong time. A strange feeling when you feel like the whole world really does know who you are.

Have been, nominally. Represented my fifth grade class as the class writer one time--forget what I had to write about!, honor rolls, a letter about community, a letter about a hit and run, poetry reading ads. Could do more but just haven't.
