Barry just had a news conference the other day after he made the lead in Home runs and said he has been trying to hard. He said he went through old clips to see what and how he can hit a home run again and golly gee, he did. It was amazing. He is a real player and one that I Will remember forever.

It seems to me like the two are pressing. A-Rod started the season with a great attitude at the plate. he was hitting everything, not just homeruns. Now he seems to go to the plate every time thinking homerun. It is a huge pressure situation. Hitting 500 homeruns is basically punching your ticket to Cooperstown. More important in his mind though should be winning ball games and making the playoffs.
Barry Bonds doesn't seem to be affected by pressure as much as A-Rod. Bonds is being pitched around a lot more than A-Rod. Intentional walks are a daily occurrence for Barry Bonds. Plus, no pitcher wants to be the guy who gave up #755 to Bonds. No pitcher wants to be the one whose pitch got hit out of the ballpark and have to watch it replaid forever.
A-Rod will reach his milestone soon, and then people can go back to talking about whether or not he will be in New York next season. Bonds will get the record and then disappear off the face of the earth.

Barry just broke the record tonight and ARod hit his 500th on Saturday. Home runs are not easy to hit. If you watched the games, you would see that A-Rod and Barry played team ball which they each put their teams first and the home runs second which good hitters do. If you check the standings, the Yankees are only 5 games back after today's action.

they are trying to hit the ball too hard. and i wont be the guy that says they suck because they obviously dont...heres whats going on....
so i was watching the giants game two nights ago and the tv guys were talking about why they arent getting homeruns...and not getting hits. Barry hitches when he swings but has such bat speed it doesnt even matter he still stings the ball out of the park. lately hes hitching late as the ball comes in and or is hitching extra to hit it out. hes late on everything and thats why hes popping everything up. If he just hitches a little less he will get the HR. i htink you will find once he gets his next HR hes gona go on a tear.
As for arod his best quality when he hits is that he leans forward towards the pitcher and gets all of the ball. bad hitters are on their heals and cant hit the ball, where as AROD leans forward and is on time for every pitch. lately though, hes over anxious and is actually leaning too much, leaving him off balance and or early on everything. just like BONDS, once he gets 500 i tink you will find in whats left of august hes going to put up the numbers that he did in the first month of baseball. count on this guy hitting 50-60 HR's this season. thats whats wrong and soon they will get out of their funks. Everyone goes into slumps and bad habits, they just did it at the same time right before a big number for HR's. Hope i explained it well enough.

Well, I think the Giants signed Bonds to put asses in seats. Management probably asked him to hold off on his record setting home run to sell more tickets. Now that he got it, he might loosen up from the pressure and hit with more frequency. He's 43, so he's not at the top of his game anymore.
In A-Rod's case, he might just be wearing down during the course of the season. He's still on an incredible pace. Recently he got hit by a pitch on his plant foot, so he might not be at 100%.

A-Rod is averaging 37 abode runs according to twelve months for his profession suitable now. in case you're taking transforming into old into attention and the certainty that he can DH for some years after his mobility at third base is going, he would desire to have not got any situation beating Bonds' record. permit's say that over the ten twelve months settlement era that he averages 5 HR's according to twelve months much less. He would end his profession with 838 abode runs. If on the different hand he keeps that average, improve it yet another 50 to 888.

Because they are pressing...they know they wanna get this stuff over with so they try to swing out of their shoes everytime just so they can hit the home runs and get back to playing baseball. Another reason for Bonds not hitting HR's is well b/c nobody wants to be the guy who serves up 755 and 756 to the biggest piece of crap in baseball...well next to bud selig

Bonds and A-Rod are definitely trying too hard. They are more focused on hitting this home run rather than getting on base. This is making them mess up their swings also. Frank Thomas did it when he was trying for 500.

haha its not pressure or anything, it is just that they are not going to hit ALL the time, i mean they can have their ups and downs. Why do you think batting averages are so low, because they won't always hit. Even if they are pros they can't always hit. As Ted Williams once said "Hitting a round object with another round object as it is moving, is the hardest thing to do in all of sports."

It's hard to get over a milestone. You watch as soon as Arod clears 500 he'll be hot again.. And once Bonds breaks the record [i hope he gets injured before he can haha] he will be the same old Bonds again.
