Ask yourself this, would you give ranitidine to your newborn?
No, you wouldnt. So you probably shouldnt put it in yourself.
I would have a long talk with your doctor.

clearly all the idiots have not idea what ranitidine is in the first place. My doc gave me this for heart burn for both pregnancies. There is NOTHING wrong with it otherwise your doc would not give it to you. My kids are both fine and healthy and I used it with both pregs when I was 6 weeks along until the end becuase I could hardly breath my heartburn was sooo bad. Its ok. Dont listen to ppl here/ They are not doctors and have no medical schooling but they do like to make stuff up and pretend

Depending on the type of drugs and how much was used the side effects will vary. All recreational drugs will have a negative effect though! Studies suggest that using marijuana during pregnancy may result in low birth weight, malformations, poor growth, and neurological problems!
Women who use cocaine during pregnancy have babies who grow poorly and have a wide variety of malformations. The children of cocaine users may also suffer permanent brain damage.
heroin and methadone are believed to affect the developing brain and may cause behavioral abnormalities later in childhood. The drug reaches the fetus in the uterus, making the developing baby an addict as well. Babies born to addicts often suffer severe withdrawal symptoms after birth and require intensive support.
Either way... not good at all!
good luck!

The effects of Zantac in pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. Zantac appears in breast milk and could affect a nursing infant. If this medication is essential to your health, your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding until your treatment with this medication is finished.
