No, unfortunately the funding of many charities such as cancer research lets the government get away with not spending the money they should be spending. If the tax on tobacco was ploughed into cancer research, we would be closer to a cure, I am also of the opinion that giving to the developing world creates a culture o fhandouts and is also misappropriated by tinpot dictators and self serving politicians. We are all paying to support this work anyway through our taxes, this country gives ahuge amount of aid and thats paid for with my taxes. However, I don't dispute that a lot f good work is done by charities and if I had a large amount of disposable income I would certainly donate to certain causes.

Mmm hmm. Mostly the church. And there are a few people there who need a helping hand. They don't know I am doing this for them. They know someone is, but I keep it thru the church to them.
I have often made donations to the Salvation Army, as I was raised in that church. I know how much good they do. And from time to time, AIDS research and/or organizations that help AIDS victims.
Whole point is, my blessings are so many. I give back what I can. It feels good to share.

well probably not enough but I am on a low budget.
I do give for children in need and I buy and give bits to the charity shops regally!
I also do Christan aid Christmas box each year that's a nice one to do with children because they can help you choose what to buy and it goes to poor children around the would.
If ever I earn more I will give more!

Yes, we do.
Where we lived last, we used to donate to the local homeless/abuse shelter, food pantry and the animal shelter.
Where we live now, we donate to the local pantry (there is no shelter here).

they'd desire to and on an identical time as they're at it they'd desire to look after all those undesirable infants residing in orphanages and on the streets like Redhead stated. this is that in the event that they actually cared with reference to the "sacredness" of existence. although, with all those infants residing on the streets and seeing how a grand share of the worldwide is professional-existence i'd would desire to declare the final public are mindless hypocrites who repeat the b.s. they have been indoctrinated with.
