TOTALLY HER RIGHT!!! Okay.. Dont get me started...If you dont have chlamydia, dont get the eye goop... If you dont plan on getting the child circumcised the first few days they dont need the vit k. It thickens the blood, and makes it harder for it to pass through the capilaries, etc. of the lungs...It can be very dangerous, and increase the chances of athsma! I think you already know this, right??? Yes, you can refuse this stuff! Good luck though, as they will try the scare tactics

As far as the positive blood type, you only have to worry if your blood type is postivie and the father's blood type is negative. You can refuse the vitamin k and eye drops, but babies are born vitamin k deficient, and the eye drops are to keep them from getting infection from all the gunk that ended up in their eyes while they passed through the birth canal.
Unless you are worried about the needles being improperly sterilized, or there are other reasons for not getting these very routine treatments, then I'd go for it and just be safer than sorry.
You can refuse any treatment the hospitals offer, this is your baby. However, look into the pros and cons of not having them done, especially for blood types. You don't know what type of blood your child has until they are born, the concern is what type of blood the father has. Find out and ask your doctor, or look up the information on teh internet and make an informed decision.

you mention the positive rh factor in your question as if that would be a problem, which if the mother is positive there is no problem. And a mother with blood type O is not a concern either.
You also mention not putting drops in eyes and no vit K shot. The only problem that you risk is an infection to the eyes if the conditions are not sanitary or the mother has some type of problem. The Vit K shot is for clotting reasons and if there is not really a call for it the baby will most likely be ok. And yes it is all up to the mother.
If she doesn't want all the intervention why doesn't she just do a home birth?

There is a risk called ABO incompatibility. Here's an article that will help you learn more:
http://pediatrics.about.com/od/weeklyquestion/a/04_abo_incmplty.htm
As for refusing standard treatments, it is within parents' rights legally. Many states have automatic procedures to inform child protective services if treatments are refused (I learned that in my birthing class). We elected to have those treatments you mention, as well as the Hep C shot after reading about the benefits of each one.

O positive mothers can give birth to a child with positive bood with no problems; the problems come in during future pregnancies when the mother has O-negative blood.

You have a right to choose any medical intervention that is going to happen to you or your child and if they insist you can sign against medical advise.

until something goes wrong then you can get slapped with child endangerment, and if the science is out there to protect your baby why would you put it at risk? why would a mother exercise such a right?
