Depends what sort of help they needed
There was a woman in a wheelchair having problems with a slope yesterday and I helped, but I didn't help a woman a few minutes later who had screaming kids to deal with and was having trouble carrying her bags.

Yes, i would stop to help. Unless it was a fight or an obvious private situation, or the person didn't want to be helped. Like two people arguing or someone with crutches determined to make it up the stairs without help. Sometimes help has to be given whether wanted or not, but usually you should help when not only needed, but wanted.
However, i don't think i could walk by someone who needed help without helping. If i didn't, i would feel bad.

I have and I would but I'm so busy helping those I know that helping someone I don't would mean that I have to stop helping someone I know who is counting on me.
Was that clear? Maybe not!

When i see someone in need of help, I help. I like the feeling you get when you help someone.

It depends on whether they look my way and make me feel guilty for walking by them. It could also depend on my mood. I'm the girl who literally helps old ladies cross the street.

I nearly always stop and help, unless it is a capable or scary looking guy. Will always stop for a lady.

well it just depends, if I am by myself, I dont stop for anyone. You just don't know what people are capable of. I trust to easy so I just dont stop at all in fear that I could get hurt.

I would always like to help my fellow man, but in these days we don't always feel safe in doing so. Like, could it be a set-up for a robbery? I would help if I felt safe in doing so.
