I did for the first half of my baptismal service. It sure felt weird to be in the sanctuary with no shoes on.

Yes, I don't go to church much but I attended a Unitarian Universalist service for a few years, and I was barefoot there as I am always. I'm don't follow a conventional religion but I'm sort of wicca w/some parts of other nature religions, and going barefoot does have a spiritual meaning in addition to comfort. Not something I think about every day but when walking in a church, graveyard, any sacred or ancient place, wearing shoes would feel really wrong!

Yeah.......it was our annual church get together and like usually I was late...so I hurried up and decided that lle do my make up in the car. Our church isn't in the town we stay so It was quite a long drive....well just as we decided to stop for a break I discovered I was still wearing me slippers...luckily I managed to bribe my sister to go barefoot with me and to make it look like it`s a tradition or something....what about you?

No, but one church I went t had a garage sale, and I was there in my my sandals, and I stopped in the room where a home style pool table, and there were kids shooting pool , and one kid wanted to shoot me a game, and my sandals were hurting my feet, because they were new; therefore, I shot pool barefoot.

One Good Friday a priest suggested we approach the wooden cross without shoes and I took mine off and walked up the aisle barebooted. It felt very real and meaningful at the time.
