Rice cereal in the bottle is very rarely recommended. It will increase a babies weight and most pediatricians only recommend rice cereal in the bottle if the baby is suffering from severe reflux or diarrhea.

Ask your doctor.

Please don't put rice in your baby's bottle. It is dangerous and cause dehydration and choking.

If your baby is not sleeping then look at how many solid feeds s/he is having - you may need to increase the amount.

If you are doing this to make baby sleep through the night it is not a good idea. You may have to just bite the bullet and get up to give a night feed if you baby really needs it. They will grow out of it but not all babies grow out of it at the same time.

If your baby needs to gain weight then you should try to do this by increasing the amount of solids or milk feeds s/he is having. Rice cereal in the bottle is NOT a good idea, its old fashioned and dangerous!

your baby is old enough to be eating solids now from a spoon. do not put baby rice in the bottle. you should be trying to wean off the bottle a bit so the baby eats more solids. if you put the rice in the bottle, your baby will get full on that and not eat solids.

at feeding time, give your baby about half of the usual bottle to satisfy hunger a bit then make some baby rice up in a bowl with the rest of the bottle and feed your baby with a spoon.

if you are worried about your baby's weight you should get in touch with your health visitor.

good luck

You should be feeding baby the cereal with a spoon. If you put the cereal in the bottle you baby may get more ear infection because the baby has to suck harder to get the cereal out. Baby is old enough to have the cereal or a fruit in the cereal.

I would be feeding a 7mth old baby rice cereal in the regular way; with a spoon! And using a full fat formula to feed baby through bottle to increase weight.
At 7mths you can give 2 small meals a day like rice cereal in the morning and mashed vegies early evening and you will see a difference in weight and growth pretty soon.

you can give rice cereal in a bottle to help them gain weight and fill them up but it is always recommended to spoon feed rice cereal instead. Your baby is 7 months old he/she is well and truly old enough to be spoon fed and also to be fed proper solids and some finger foods aswell. you will probably find that your baby will do much better on proper solids and finger foods than rice cereal..... rice cereal is for all ages but is mainly there as a starter food for younger infants.... good luck

Yes, the babies weight will increase. And you do whatever works for YOUR baby! Always consult your doctor, but if your baby does okay with cereal in a bottle, do it that way. If it does better eating from a spoon, go for it! Putting cereal in a bottle is not going to choke your baby unless you put an ungodly amount, or don't shake it up enough.

Giving a youthful toddler that plenty cereal can carry approximately malnutrition. Breastmilk enormously, yet formula as nicely, have each and every thing a splash one desires until a minimum of 6 months of age. in the event that they might take cereal from a spoon you are able to initiate that around six months. Rice and oatmeal are in reality nutrient-unfastened ingredients. Even the fortified cereals are no longer actual digested to their fullest volume in a splash one that youthful, and feeding them watery rice cereal will purely tell them they are finished which will in turn forestall that toddler from taking in sufficient breastmilk/formula. Cereal is affordable because of the fact there is little nutritional fee. Please make beneficial your toddler is getting a minimum of as plenty bm/formula as they choose. shop the cereal for later while little you will take it from a spoon.
