There is no such thing as an honest politician. If they are honest when they get into power, then power will ultimately corrupt them.

There have been People's Parties all around the World.

None really worked and all have had corruption.

When a person seeks to be a Politician, it means they seek power (for what-ever reason). This means that person is already corrupted.

All Poliicians will listen, however they spin what they hear to suit themselves.

So you want an Honest Politician?

Vote for me:-

Taxes will be raised, NHS needs money so do Nursing Homes, Hospices, and Safe Old Folks Homes. Anyone, caught carrying out a crime who is non-native to this country, will be deported together with the whole of their family within 3 days (in-toto). Any native becomes elegible for Hard Labour whilst a Prisoner.

Everyone will work, there will be no scroungers, transient non workers etc.

After Nine O' Clock there will be a Stop and Search Policy. Any enfringement will mean prison.

There will be more Prisons, built by Prisoners and completed by others.

Anyone inventing terms such as 130%, Blue Sky Thinking, Level Playing Field, will have Prat permanently tattooed on there fore-head.

Any Politician that is dishonest will be shot.

Any member of the Public that is discourteous will receive 3 months Hard Labour, all crime punishment will follow in increments from that level.

Peadophiles will cease to exist, any convicted Peado that does not volunteer for physical castration will be rendered down; to provide Phosphates, Nitrates and bone meal for the fields.

There will be a Death Sentence.

There will be Conscription.

There will be large Bonuses to Top Dogs only if under Public referendum they are deemed worth it; if they are deemed not worth the Bonus, they are not doing their job and will be sacked without compensation.

How's that for starters.

Recently on television they took politicians put them on television and then displayed on a huge screen Youtube videos with everyday Americans asking questions. 3000 people went on youtube, made videos displaying their concerns then the politicians answered the questions. I enjoyed it because not to often or should I say just about never the publics opinions are taken into consideration. Usually on the panel it is over educated people asking questions that are hard to understand and have words in them that people cannot understand. The politicians then give this lengthy answer with the same words that are hard to understand. I think politicians should speak in a language that most people in this world would understand. If we are going to get the younger generation to vote then we need to set up the campaigning in such a way that persuades them to vote because they do understand it and feel they can make a confident and educated choice. Why not set up a campaign that appeals to the basic American instead of assuming everyone is on the same page.

On paper that sounds like a great idea, the problem with this is the public is to diverst. If there was a people's party the public would have to come together and decide what is important.Within that process nothing would get done, because the people will be fighting for what they think is important, and it may not be the same as the person standing next to them.

because honest politicians do not exist. you usually start out honest and full of ideals - then you get a law degree, enter the public arena and by the time you run for office, you just want to get elected - all along the way people companies special interest groups buy you with their votes and support as for the parties here they are all the people's parties they all listen to the voters and while they are in the race for office - then once they get there - they realize they cannot keep all the promises they made, and then as voters we know its wait for 4 years to go through the process again

Because the people attracted to political careers are in away similar to those attracted by religion .they see their personal belief as the one and only right way and disregard any alternative .view nd refuse to entertain any thought of being wrong . Politicians are by nature attracted to power and power corrupts .A totally honest government is something that doesn`t exist and never will . These days a politician with integrity and morals is a rare find ,the days when politicians felt it necessary to resign when caught out in anything dishonest are long gone , now they just believe in blaming some civil servant who was only doing what he/she was told to do.Or they say they knew nothing about a situation and think that lets them of the hook ,even though not knowing proves they are not fit to do the job they`re paid to do .

Won't work.

If you listen to the people, I would say the majority would say no tax. So how will that work?

What you need are politicians with life experience skills. They come out of private schooling, into uni then into Government and haven't a clue. It may work on paper or eutopia but that's about as far it will go.

And someone with balls. Blair was a fanny.

Both the Republicans and Democrats are trying to be exactly that. Once there is agreement among the public about what it wants, this might work. Don't hold your breath waiting for it.
