my pc need pc3200 it have 4 slot to put it in but im asking can a pc3200 ram stick be more then 1GB can there be one that is 2GB in one ram stick my pc can only take 4GB but if i put a ram stick that is 2GB and put 4 of them will it be bad for my pc and if there is a ram stick that is 2GB if i put 2 of them is it better or is it better to put 4 ram sticks that are 1GB each and if my pc is only have 4 slots that meens i can only put 4GB or only meens i can only put 4 ram sticks if please go here so u can see the Specifications of my pc

In general, if your mainboard has 4 DIMM slots, and have max of 4 GB mem capacity, then each slot CANNOT exceed 1 GB.

Your PC won't "blow up" or anything. You just likely NOT see the other half of the memory (i.e. you'll only see 1 GB out of the 2GB module).

However, the Gateway specs are extremely vague, so I'd call them up and ask, or if you're adventurous, just try it. Make sure the place you buy it from has a good return policy though.
