Neurologically.... absoluetly as we are all on a continuum from male to female and both sexes carry both "male" and "female" hormones such as testerone (more pronounced in males) and estrogen (more pronounced in females). Some may express both sides in a balanced way, others may be so uncomfortable with their sexuality (or may have large amounts of a particular hormone such as testerone) that they go to an extreme (as in the male "macho") levels, and still others may scoot far from their anatomical sex,-- witness those going thru sexual reassignment who strongly believe that they are a "woman trapped in a man's body".

Basic Truths: 1) the World is composed of opposites; 2) ALL characteristics are on a CONTINUUM (good, bad; right, wrong; masculine/feminine, etc.; 3) The only ABSOLUTE is God (or SPIRIT or some FORCE....call it what you will...it can not be reduced to a word); 4) Humans partake of RELATIVITY in all things/qualities in Material Existence in varying degrees on a continuum; 5) Karma is a Law of Existence as the Soul moves on and upward through material reality & humans; 6) Reincarnation of the Soul through progressive life form stages is a method of purification; 7) Material Existence for humans is a chance to get to know the absolute which frees the Spirit to reunite with the Absolute; 8) This process goes on for thousands of years until it is completed.....; 9) Time has not meaning at the point of the Reunification with the Absolute; 10)
This is the secret/answer to life....if you can understand it

I've always heard that and wonder. I'll bet a lot of these "side" things are society issued instead of gender issued. For instance: I will knit a sweater for my cat, sissy, huh? I will just as quickly dislocate your arm if my cat is threatened. Not sissy, huh? I don't believe too strongly in assigning masculine/ feminine traits to things people do. I prefer to call it gentle , less gentle , or rough.. Yes , Some have made the mistake of assigning me to the feminine side of the classroom.

what an enticing q and way of thinking exceedingly from a guy its somewhat uncommon pagan? blessed be is a wiccan/pagan concern so im presuming here that and its in the failings you're saying , the form you think of femininity,to me is mroe non secular not basically simply by fact i'm female, yet simply by fact, i only experience it, its how i connect with nature, being female, being concerned, girly, compassionate yet, masculinity is non secular too, my boyf is pagan too comparable as me, only, distinctive and thats the component its al in teh stability in case you ought to the subsequent area of your q, however i'm going to assert femininity is mroe non secular, i do beleive existence is all approximately stability, you cant have one without the different, so masculinity has its own non secular attributes too as you're saying they gas one yet another, and its not likely they could artwork any incorrect way, comparable as something in this universe ;-) and to you

It is very sad that our society dictates such a straight jacket of supposed 'female and male traits'. We are a mixture of both, given we are a product of both. How we are brought up plays a big part in which characteristics are more dominant.

its the nature v nurture argument. the nature argument says that a persons characteristics are decided at conception. in this case, a persons feminine/masculine characteristics would depend on their hormonal makeup. this can lead to some males having a more female brain, and some females having a more male brain.
the nurture argument says that it depends on environment, socialisation, upbringing. society, family, school can have different expectations about boys and girls, leading to different treatment from an early age. the traditionally accepted behaviours are encouraged in each.
obviously physical characteristics must be decided at conception. personality, emotional, intellectual characteristcs are from a combination of nature and nurture.

...all humans contain both sex hormones: estrogen and testosterone. What makes us male or female depends on the balance of these hormones- heavier testosterone, more masculinity, heavier estrogen- femininity. We all have both, so yes, I think we all have a capacity to have elements of both sexes, if not physically, then emotionally or psychologically.

Yes, they are. Even Ali will make him own bed, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan will take care and nurture their child. Females have masculine side as they debates and fight for themselves. Girls in my class may look cute and weak sometimes, but they have masculine side too. (I haven't seen this yet)

Yes-all females and males have both testosterone and estrogen in varying degrees. As males age their testosterone levels decrease and estrogen levels rise and vice versa for women, estrogen levels decrease and testosterone levels rise.
